Music on the Green continues its 36th season this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another weekend of free live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in historic downtown Mariposa.

On Friday, July 17, The T-ranch Stringband takes the stage with its old-time, single-microphone string band sound led by singer-songwriter and banjo player Andy Roberts. The band also features Jared Jesperson (The Jespersons) on mandolin, Benny Lee Friedrich (The Trespassers) on upright bass, and Ben Goger (The Trespassers) on guitar. Audiences can expect an entertaining evening of original and traditional songs.

The music continues on Saturday, July 18, as Mike Hammar and the Professor return to Music on the Green. The acoustic duo performs original and contemporary blues featuring acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocal harmonies. Active throughout California’s blues community and beyond, the pair is known for delivering an authentic blues performance.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa.

Parking is available along 4th and 5th streets, with accessible pedestrian access available through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entrance from the lower 5th Street parking lot.

Tips for the performers are appreciated and encouraged.
