FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The “Raleigh Fire” sparked near-immediate mandatory evacuations after igniting in Fresno County Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 2:30 p.m., deputies started going door-to-door issuing evacuations in and around Auberry. Those zones (K143, K145 & K146) have since been downgraded to evacuation warnings.
Auberry Road is also closed to motorists between Hwy. 168 and SJ&E Road.

As of 4 p.m., the fire was 15 acres large and 0% contained.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
