
MARIPOSA COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control and shoulder closures next week on State Route 140 (SR-140) and State Route 49 (SR-49) for maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 49
- One-way traffic control from Old Town Toad to Mount Ophir Road for utility work on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Road Back to Old Highway to Bear Valley Point for utility work on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
State Route 140
- Intermittent one-way traffic control and flagging operations from Briceburg to Savage Trading Post for pavement work beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
- One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
