Nickowitz (Wildfire)

The Nickowitz Fire is the largest of four fires on the Orleans Ranger District of the Six Rivers National Forest. Currently the Nickowitz is 741 acres and is 10 percent contained. There are 186 personnel assigned to this fire.They have 4 crews and 21 fire engines assigned to fight this fire. Today the crews are continuing to mop up the fire along FS Road 14N02 and are building an indirect fireline from 14N02 down the ridge to Nickowitz
