A Porterville family received an early Christmas gift, just in time for Thanksgiving. Ron and Cheryl Parine live in Porterville, where water is scarce and wells are running dry. Theirs dried up in 5 months ago and they spent $21,000 to drill a deeper well. Unfortunately, they ran out of money and couldn’t connect it to their home. That’s when the Porterville Area Coordinating Council stepped in. The non-profit payed for the parts and finished the job a week before Thanksgiving.</div>
