Hundreds of nurses are on a 48 hour strike in Fresno. They walked off the job Tuesday morning from Kaiser Permanente, joining 18,000 Kaiser nurses statewide. All of them are members of the California Nurses Association, a union at odds with the hospital over contract issues. Kaiser says the strike isn’t affecting the quality of care. The hospital hired temporary nurses to fill in for the nurses on the picket line.
