Status Updates

Situation Summary

Fire behavior was moderate overnight with most of the fire activity occurring on the northeast side of the fire. Hand crews will continue to construct direct line in areas inaccessible to equipment. With higher tempratures and lower humidity, crews may observe increased fire behavior. Work will continue to address hazards and repair infrastructure within the fire perimeter. Damage inspection is on-going and will continue until the entire fire area is assessed.

COMMUNITY MEETING: 7/28/2022 7:00 PM , Mariposa County High School,
Gymnasium, 5074 Old Hwy N, Mariposa

Fire restrictions and closures near the fire area are in place on the Sierra National Forest. This closure will support public safety by keeping public members out of
hazardous burn areas and will allow firefighting resources to combat the Fire without public interference. For additional information, visit:
