Officer Valle-Sandoval remembered at memorial

Fresno police said an emotional farewell to a brother in blue who lost a heroic battle with cancer.

Detective Edgar Valle-Sandoval passed away earlier this month. In January, he was diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer, and last month, hundreds of police officers and department employees shaved their head, to show support for their ailing colleague.

Today, officers hundreds of officers turned out to remember their friend and colleauge at people’s church in north Fresno. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says Sandoval was an inspiration to all who knew him.
