One killed in late-night collision on Bass Lake

An investigation is underway after a boating accident was reported late last night on Bass Lake. 

A local resident had found two men in the water, one was unresponsive. Deputies and ambulance personnel tried to revive the unresponsive male. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Kyle Farr, 14, of Los Gatos. 

Early reports say the victim and his friend, 18, were riding a personal watercraft on the lake when they struck a moored boat and were ejected.
