Paradise Fire (Wildfire)

At approximately 3:40 today, June 11, 2015 a wild land fire was reported near Paradise Cove. Paradise Cove campground is located on Highway 178, approx. 3.5 miles east of the town of Lake Isabella. Fire fighting resources from the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Kern Co. Fire Department responded. California Highway Patrol is assisting with traffic control.The fire is burning in grass and initial reports have it at .5 acres. Fire is under investigation.Presently Highway 178 is closed due to fire traffic.
