Pine Fire (Wildfire)

The Pine Fire was first reported at 7:30 am. Forest Service and Ventura County Fire are on scene of the fire. The fire held at between 5 to 7 acres throughout the morning. At 3PM wind gusts of 20 mph pushed the fire to its current estimated size of 100 acres. The fire is burning in the Sespe Wilderness on the Mt Pinos Ranger District. A full respond has been initiated to include the VLAT (Very Large Air Tanker) and multiple air tankers, but because of accessibility issues ground crews have been unable to begin line construction.
