Police Find Suicide Note at Gunman’s Home in Murder-Suicide

Police searched Neng Moua’s home this evening on Shaw Avenue outside Clovis. And they pulled several pieces of evidence, including a suicide note. Investigators say it was written by Moua. But they did not say what it contained.

They also found several other weapons. Officers carried out two long guns, a backpack, and two sacks with other evidence, including what they describe as a suicide note written by Moua.

Moua had lived at the home on Shaw avenue east of Leonard for at least the last six years.
Several neighbors told us they never suspected he was capable of murder.

"I just think he was a good guy and something happened for him to snap," said Moua’s neighbor Russ Stidston.

Stidston says Moua helped him out several times, trimming trees, fixing a roof.

"Back and forth. Whenever he needed my help I’d go help him. If I needed his help he’d come over and help me," Stidston said.

Stidston says Moua was a roofer by trade. And he had a current girlfriend or wife.

A woman showed up at the home Tuesday evening, obviously distraught as she spoke with police.

Another neighbor said sheriff’s deputies had shown up at Moua’s home in the past.
The neighbor had also heard arguing over the years: Moua and the victim of Tuesday’s murder, fighting, before they split up.

Moua had told his neighbors that his ex-wife had been trying to get the house and property.
They knew he was stressed over the family court proceedings.
And they wish he had talked to them, instead of doing what he did.
