Police found 11 lbs. of meth during a traffic stop

A 27-year-old Oregon man has been arrested, after CHP officers found 11 lbs. of meth inside his car.

It happened on the northbound lanes of Highway 99, near Le Grand Road, which is southeast of Merced. Officers say they stopped Rafael Hernandez Espinosa for a traffic violation. Officers say they found the meth, inside a tool bag, and they say it could be worth $ 50,000.

Espinoza was later booked into the Merced County Jail.
