Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders To ‘Get Out The Early Vote’ Friday In Bakersfield

After taking the lead in the New Hampshire Primary, Vermont Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will make his second campaign trip to the Central Valley, this time in an effort to ensure eligible citizens cast their ballots in California’s March 3 primary. He will be making a stop at the Spectrum Amphitheatre for a “Get Out the Early Vote Rally” . Sanders’ campaign says it’s attempting to turn out over 5 million California no-party preference voters. In Kern County, 23 percent of the electorate have a no-party preference. “Our campaign is doing everything we can to educate voters about the easiest ways to cast their ballots for president,” said Bernie 2020 California State Director Rafael Navar. “No Party Preference and independent voters deserve every opportunity to participate in the democratic process, and that’s why we have been on the ground since day one educating Californians about the ins and outs of voting.
