"It’s important to move on. Again it’s a symbolic gesture but it is very powerful gesture", said Doctor New Sang of Sang Pediatric.
Some of Vang’s children were present but did not talk to the media. Doctor Sang says his staff is looking forward to returning to work and helping their patients.
"There is no greater privilege than helping people and that’s very helpful for us to move on", said Sang.
After last week’s horrific incident sang says he has realized he can do more to help the community by bringing more awareness to domestic violence.
Grief counselors and support groups from various agencies including the Marjaree Mason Center are setting up support groups for staff and patients who witnesses last week’s tragedy. Rae Pardini, with the Marjaree Mason Center says going through something like this can be like an emotional roller coaster. Feelings of chock, fear, and anger can be overwhelming and difficult to process.
a representative for the Vang Family says they are still in need of financial help. A Go Fund Me account has been set up in the family’s name.
