Sheriff’s office warning about possible attempted kidnapping

A warning now for parents in the Madera Ranchos area.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible attempted kidnapping. An 11-year-old boy says he was walking near Webster Elementary School when a mini-van pulled up behind him.

The male driver asked the boy if he wanted a ride. The boy refused, then the driver offered to take him to his house. After the boy refused a second time, the man slowly drove away. That driver is described as a white male adult, with tanned or olive skin. He had dark hair that was combed forward and a thin mustache. Officials say he was driving a 2012 or newer Nissan minivan with tinted windows.
