Shooting and stabbing inside Tulare grocery store

Two people are in critical condition after one was stabbed and the other shot inside of Foods Co. in Tulare.

On Wednesday May 6, 2015 at approximately 6:18 pm officers from the Tulare Police Department were dispatched to the Tulare FOODSCO grocery store located in the 1200 block of E. Prosperity Ave in Tulare for a report of multiple gun shots.

Information provided was that two unknown males were engaged in a physical altercation inside the business. During this altercation, one of the involved participants was stabbed. A store employee who observed this altercation went to render aid to the stab victim.

During the employee efforts to render first aid the employee and the stab victim were shot at. The store employee was shot. Both the stab victim and the employee were both taken to local area hospitals for emergency treatment.

The possible suspect and suspect vehicle fled the scene. This is an ongoing investigation and investigators are on scene.
