As of 8:30 a.m., June 10, 2015, there are 20 confirmed small lightning-caused wildfires on the Six Rivers National Forest. There are eight fires on the Gasquet Ranger District/Smith River National Recreation Area. The largest of these is the Devil Fire, which stands at 19.4 acres. This fire and four others Holiday, Kelley, Gordon and Cedar are 100 percent contained and crews are mopping up.There are 7 fires on the Lower Trinity District, 1 fire on the Orleans District, and 4 fires on the Mad River District. Most of these fires remain small, under a 1/4 of an acre.This information will be updated as it becomes available.
