Takata Airbag Recall: What Should You Do?

After sparring with the government over safety issues for about a year, Takata Corp., the world’s largest airbag manufacturer, has recalled nearly 34 million airbags.  It’s the largest car recall in American history, affecting 1 in 7 cars on the road, and believed to be the largest recall of a consumer product.

Brett Hedrick with Hedrick’s Chevrolet says consumers should call their vehicle manufacturing company to make sure they are on a database and will receive a recall letter. He also says to be patient, because with a recall this size, a remedy could take years.
