Two dead after Caruthers crash

This afternoon two people are dead after a fiery accident in Caruthers.

It happened on West Avenue near Henderson Road. Just after 2 a.m. a pick-up lost control, crashing into a home. According to the gas company, the vechicle hit a gas line, causing the fire.

Cal Fire says the home is complete loss, killing one person inside, in addition to the driver. CHP is investigating.
