Uber opens office in Fresno

Uber has seen so much business in the valley, they’ve opened an office here.

Uber is an international transportation company that connects riders with drivers via their smart phone or tablet. Their new office is located in downtown Fresno on Van Ness and is the only one in the central valley. The company says they’ve seen huge growth in the area with thousands of trips happening every day.

"We are going to have open office hours where people can come in and sign up easily in person and we will have an office presence here. Folks are going to be working on operations here for the State of California," Laura Zapata, with Uber Technologies, Inc, said.

The office will serve as a processing center for new Uber drivers, where they can sign up, have their vehicle inspected and get a background check.
