UPDATE: Gas Explosion Victims

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office updated the number of people injured and needing treatment at local hospitals immediately following the explosion.

11 people went to area hospitals.

2- Fresno Co. Sheriff’s deputies
1- Fresno Co. Public Works employee
8 – Fresno Co. Jail inmates
The two deputies and two of the inmates have since been released from the hospitals.

Five inmates and the Public Works employee remain hospitalized at CRMC. The Public Works employee is in stable, but critical condition. One inmate is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The other four inmates are in stable condition.

One inmate remains at Madera Hospital. He is in stable condition.
