Valley Boston Marathon runners say 2013 still hurts

After fourteen hours of deliberation a federal jury gives the death sentence to the man convicted of the Boston Marthon bombings that killed three people and left hundreds injured. Some Valley residents were running in the marathon when those bombs went off. The bombings were more than two years ago, but they say they’re still shaken.

The runners we spoke to remember vivid details about what they saw at the Boston Marathon in 2013. The three men say even a death sentence for the man responsible for the bombings doesn’t remove the pain.

These Valley runners admit the Boston Marathon is now forever changed because of added security measures, but they’re confident those steps will prevent this type of tragedy from happening again.
