Vets Participate in Valor Games

Local veterans showed that having disabilities would not stop them from earning a gold medal. 14 veterans were given a special ceremony for their participation in the valor games far west competition which were held at Coast Guard Island Alameda.
Competitions included archery, a biathlon, cycling, field events, powerlifting, and swimming.

One athlete we spoke with was very happy with his team.  Larry Green said Break The Barriers did offer free training for the vets, and it paid off very well.  The vets earned 13 gold medals, 11 silver, and 4 bronze.
