Windows Smashed on 47 Tulare County Vehicles

A government building was vandalized on Fourth of July in Visalia.

Visalia Police are trying to figure out who smashed dozens of windows and caused thousands of dollars in damage to the Tulare County Civic Center.

Police say 47 vehicles in the parking lot were vandalized Saturday night. Windows were smashed and seven of the cars had punctured tires.

Two windows at the court house were also damaged.

Visalia police say most of the vehicles belong to the county.

"There was also a private car that was involved and if the public has any information regarding this feel free to contact the police department," Sgt. Jon Pree with Visalia Police said.

Over $ 10,000 in damage was done.

Visalia Police are not sure what the motive was but are investigating it as a felony vandalism case.
