Beginning May 16, Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS), will be adding additional runs between El Portal and Yosemite Valley for the upcoming visitor season. YARTS provides bus service along the Highway 140 corridor from Merced to Yosemite Valley carrying park visitors and park employees. The service, which began in 2000, is designed to reduce private vehicles entering and exiting the park on a daily basis.
