Kittens in Clovis rescued from a wall

A happy ending in Clovis for some kittens who found themselves trapped in a wall.

Clovis firefighters came to their rescue a couple of weeks ago. The four kittens were discovered after noises were heard coming from behind the wall. The mother had apparently climbed in from an opening near the roof to give birth, but the kittens couldn’t get out. After a few attempts, the fire department finally cut a hole in the house.

"Been doing this for 30 years and this is the first cat rescue of this nature I can remember," Rick Cadigan, with the Clovis Fire Department, said.

"Just think it’s neat that they do that and that they’re willing to do it and they’re just so nice, nice guys," Dalee Hansen, who owns the home the home the kittens were rescued from, said.

The kittens were taken to the Clovis Animal Shleter where they will soon be up for adoption. As for the hole in the house, firefighters actually patched it up.
