Car crashes into Visalia restaurant

A restaurant is in shambles and a driver is recovering from injuries after a crash in Visalia.

This happened around noon today. A car crashed into Chiquitos Mexican Food Restaurant. It’s on West Tulare Avenue, South of Mooney Boulevard.

The car took out part of a wall and continued through the parking lot, Where it collided with a parked car. No one was inside the restaurant, which is usually busy with students from the College of the Sequoias, but they are on spring break.

The driver was taken away by ambulance. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
