Coffee Fire (Wildfire)

All roads are open with escorts on Coffee Creek Road. Expect delays. There are no evacuations in effect. Please exercise extreme caution when driving in the area.Containment has increased to 45%. The number of handcrews has increase to 15. Total personnel remains at 565. Acreage has increased to 6098. Active firing of the burn operation has ceased. The fire is now about 300 feet above, and backing slowly toward Coffee Creek Road. A night shift has been assembled and will be patrolling the area. Hand crews from as far off as Florida and North Carolina have arrived at the fire. This addition of personnel benefits the operation as it moves into the next phase, the mop-up of the burn area and the push toward containment. A small fire was discovered in the area of Sugar Pine Lake. This was immediately attacked from the air with several loads of water. A crew was flown into the area today to mop it up. They will remain over night and return tomorrow. Final size was about 8’x20’. The…
