Eiler Fire (Shasta County) Started 7/31/2014, updated 8/10/2014

Firefighters continue to construct fire control lines and extinguish multiple spot fires outside the perimeter. Crews are
aggressively constructing direct hand line utilizing Minimal Impact Suppression Tactics (MIST) in the Thousand Lakes
Wilderness. With the exception of Lassen National Forest, all highway closures and evacuations have been lifted. The
forest is open for recreation and woodcutting. Due to high temperatures and low humidity, there is a potential for
increased fire activity. A Red Flag warning has been issued for Sunday with possible thunderstorm and lightning activity.
