Cooler temperatures are allowing firefighters to strengthen control line as we near containment. Crews continue to construct direct hand line utilizing Minimal Impact Suppression Tactics (MIST) in the Thousand Lakes Wilderness where control lines have proven challenging. Firefighters are making substantial gains on mop up efforts and containment lines continue to grow. Fire Suppression Repair Teams are actively engaged working around the fire perimeter and effected areas.
