Police say the suspect walked into the bank Thursday just before 11 am.
"Threw the demand note to the teller she got scared. Threw her hands up, he got frightened ran out jumped in a suspect vehicle," Lt. Joe Gomez with Fresno Police said.
Leaving empty handed he went to the Bank of the West at Fashion Fair mall 25 minutes later.
"Walked in just told the teller this is a robbery give me all your money he had various denominations he demanded she gave him about $ 700," Gomez said.
Police believe the suspect may be linked to three other bank robberies earlier this month. The West America Bank on May 11th, BBVA Compass Bank on West Shaw May 23rd and a Wells Fargo on Van Ness May 26th.
"I think one of those that was mentioned I worked about two weeks ago. Sounds very similar. Downtown Fresno. Same time of day, early morning hours. Same description of the suspect. It’s a strong possibIlity they may be connected," Gomez said.
