Fresno State sweet corn on sale Friday

It’s grown on campus.  It’s sold on campus.  And it benefits students on campus.  Fresno State’s famous sweet corn is back, and workers at the Gibson Farm Market say they are ready.

"We are definitely prepared for tomorrow which will hopefully be more than 22 bins and will hopefully last longer than an hour and a half," Alejandra Aguirre says.

Last year, the first day’s yield of corn sold out in 90 minutes.  Lines are expected to again wrap around the on-campus market.

On sale this year are yellow and white ears of corn.  They are selling them at three for 99 cents.

Doors open at 8am.  If you miss out Friday, fresh-picked ears of corn will be available most of the summer.

The Gibson Farm Market is located on the Fresno State campus, just south of Barstow on Chestnut Ave.
