Hit And Run Crash

Fresno’s Thomas Elementary School was locked down earlier today after a pair of suspects went on the run following a crash.
It happened in the area of Millbrook and Ashcroft.
A traffic officer was issuing a citation when when a citizen told him a nearby business had been robbed.
A car matching the suspect’s vehicle drove past the officer and then crashed into another car.
Two men got out and ran into the neighborhood.
The driver was taken into custody.
Police are still searching for a second suspect. We spoke to a witness who wished to remain
anonymous who said, "I was more concerned about the people that got hit in the car.  That impact was so loud and then they knocked the tire, the whole front passenger side off".
A woman in the car had to be taken away by ambulance .
At this point the suspect is being charged with felony hit and run, but other charges may be pending.
