Merced Non-Profit Seeks Grant to Fight Elder Abuse in Hmong Communities

Merced’s Healthy House applied for a 350K federal grant to train city leaders and citizens on how to detect and stop elder abuse.  Advocates say abuse runs high in Southeast Asian communities; ranging from mental, physical and sexual abuse to medical negligence.  One elderly woman shares her story.
