Parents Graduate At Same Time as Kids

It’s an incredible moment most parents and children don’t get to share.

Angel Pichardo and his daughter Selina both graduated on the same day.

"She was in school. She inspired me to go back as well," Angel Pichardo said.

Angel earned his MBA and Selina a degree in communications. They say it’s a coincidence they both graduated on the same day.

"I think they got there right on time I was the one who was sweating and running across campus," Selina Pichardo said.

It’s a similar story of Ana Chavez and her daughter Victoria.

"When I told her I was going to apply to Fresno State she said ‘me too, Im going to apply to Fresno State, and so we started Fresno State together," Victoria Enriquez said.

Mom has a degree in criminology and Victoria in psychology.

They say going to college together was a great support system.

"I guess god had a mission for me to graduate and walk next to my daughter here 25 years later," Ana Chavez said.
