Police looking for suspects in last night’s armed carjacking

A man calls 9-1-1 and tells the dispatcher, "They’re going to shoot me."

Fresno Police say two armed men pistol-whipped him and took his car at gunpoint, locking the man in the trunk. It happened around 2:30 this morning at Roy and Fig.

When they pulled over, after a short drive, he managed to escape by pulling the emergency trunk release and running into an orchard, then gets help from a nearby homeowner who calls police. The victim was taken to CRMC for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still looking for the suspects.

If you have any details, call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
