Wildfire Prompts Evacuations In Sequoia National Park

A wildfire burning in Sequoia National Park has prompted evacuations.

The fire has burned 30 acres so far. And the park service says the evacuations are a precaution.

The fire started near the Potwisha Campground. Several campgrounds and picnic areas have been evacuated.

The National Park Service has dispatched aircraft to fight the fire in addition to fire fighters on the ground.

The park is still open. But there are some traffic restrictions.
