Wildfires in Madera almost out

We’re tracking new developments on the wildfires in Madera County.

Cal Fire telling us today  the Corrine Fire, which is burning near North Fork, is almost out. At last check, the fire has burned 920 acres. It started last Thursday. According to Cal Fire it’s now 95% contained. No word on when full containment will happen. Three buildings have burned and it’s still not clear how the fire started.

The Sky Fire just north of Oakhurst is now 95% contained and 500 acres have already burned. Sky Ranch Road remains closed today. Fire crews say they expect full containment by Friday night.
