Woman sentenced to 15 years to life for scalding son

A woman in Visalia has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison, for the death of her two-month-old son.

In March, 28-year-old Jennifer Granberg pleaded "no contest" in the death of her boy. The boy was burned by hot water in Granberg’s bathtub in April 2012.

Granberg and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Christopher Harris, delayed in calling for help, and the boy ultimately died from his injuries. Harris pleaded no contest to a count of voluntary manslaughter in February, and will be sentenced in court, on April 29th.
